Let’s take a closer look at the 1000-lb Sisters themselves and where life has taken them in 2025.
How much weight have they lost?
Both sisters have lost an incredible amount of weight since 2020, looking totally unrecognizable from where they first started.
While exact details about their weight loss journey are kept private so as not to spoil the series,
Amy has lost 176lbs since her bariatric surgery
in 2019, as of 2023.
Meanwhile, fans have been even more impressed with
Tammy’s success story
, which first saw her drop 180lbs while at a weight loss facility in Ohio, enough to qualify for her own surgery in 2022.
She has since taken her health journey to the next level, dropping a total of 500lbs as of last summer, with the most recent episode of 1000-lb Sisters revealing she weighed just over 200lbs.
Tammy also underwent skin surgery
in the latest season. While the full results have yet to be revealed, her recent TikTok unveiling her youthful new looks have sparked a frenzy amongst the fanbase.
What is Amy and Tammy’s relationship status?
Although their love lives have had their fair share of ups and downs throughout the series, both sisters are currently in relationships at the time of writing.
Tammy was previously married to her husband Caleb Willingham, until he sadly passed away in June 2023, just months after they tied the knot in November 2022.
She has since found love with a woman named Andrea, coming out to her family as pansexual and admitting she doesn’t want to date another man after Caleb’s death.

Amy, meanwhile, has split from her ex-husband Michael Halterman during her time on the series. They share two sons together, Glenn and Gage, but
Amy
felt she wasn’t getting enough support in the marriage and announced their split in 2023.
However, she didn’t take long to return to the dating pool, and quickly struck up a relationship with Brian Scott Lovvorn after they met at a concert.
Brian proposed to Amy during
1000-lb Sisters
’ seventh season, though fans spotted red flags when he expressed his wish for her to have another baby as this would require her to undergo surgery after having her tubes tied.
Amy seemingly refused, as a recent social media post introducing fans to their new “baby”, a pet snake, which she jokingly called “the only baby y’all gonna have.”
Did Amy Slaton go to jail?
One of the most explosive chapters for the Slatons was
Amy’s arrest in September 2024 for drug
and child abuse charges.
The reality star faced jail time and the latest season has detailed her court trials over the subsequent months.
Thankfully, Amy escaped time behind bars thanks to a plea deal; she pleaded guilty to the charges and received a suspended jail sentence of nearly a year.
She would not have to spend any time in jail while the charges of child abuse and child endangerment were dropped.
Amy
did, however, have to pay a $500 fine and agreed with the prosecutors to complete an alcohol and drug program.
1000-lb Sisters season 7 continues Tuesdays on TLC.
