star, 33, shared a photo from one year ago of her and her boyfriend

Aurora
after seeing her on the ultrasound for the first time. In the caption, Blanchard reflected on her life since welcoming Aurora, noting that her little girl was her “greatest blessing.”
“ONE day, TWO meanings. One year ago, we saw Aurora for the first time in this sonogram and my heart has never been the same. She is my light, my joy, my greatest blessing,” she began the post. “But today also marks 10 years since the death of my mother a woman known not for love, but for the abuse she inflicted on me. That pain shaped my life in ways that led to tragic choices, consequences, and years we BOTH can never get back.”
“I won’t pretend she was a good person. And I won’t pretend I’ve been perfect either. But Aurora… she represents a new beginning,” she continued. “A chance to break every cycle. A chance to raise someone with love, truth, and freedom. A chance to give her a life better than what I had and better than my past choices.”

“I may carry the past, but she carries my future,” she concluded. “And I pray that who she becomes will be greater than who I was, and greater than the woman who came before me.”
Blanchard, a
Munchausen by proxy
victim who was convicted of second-degree murder for her part in the brutal 2015 killing of her mother, DeeDee, and Urker welcomed their first baby together in December 2024. Urker shared a snap of the new mom cradling their baby in an
Instagram
post on Wednesday, Jan. 1, with the caption, “Welcoming 2025 with the greatest gift of all 👼.”
On Sunday, May 11, Blanchard shared a photo on
her Instagram
, showing how she spent her first Mother’s Day with her baby daughter Aurora.
In the photo, Blanchard included a white onesie, which had a cartoon photo of a mom holding her daughter. Around the graphic, the onesie read, “You’re doing a great job Mama. Happy our 1st Mother’s Day. Gypsy ❤️ Aurora.”

In February, Blanchard spoke to Trixpointand shared that her baby daughter Aurora is already
starting to resemble her
and Urker.
“I can see some of both me and Ken’s stubbornness, which is not a bad thing,” Blanchard said. “I think, because like whenever she wants to be held, she’s firm on it. Whenever she’s hungry or anything else, she’s firm on it, and that’s part of her little personality that we’re starting to see.”
“She just started smiling a little bit here and there,” she continued. “She definitely loves to cuddle. She’s a cuddle bug.”
As for who Aurora more closely resembles, Blanchard admitted that it’s Urker — not her.
“Honestly, I think Ken,” she said. “I looked at a picture of Ken when he was a baby, and they look a lot alike.”
